After Martin Luther King Jr. and Abraham Lincoln this guy has proven to be the best! Must watch this video.
I will write more on this later!
Wishing you all a very happy new year. I am sure you would have read my newsletter at Lifeofexcellence.com on how to set your New Year Resolutions. If not here is goes!
Is it important to have New Year Resolutions? Yes I would always recommend that you must have resolutions especially uring new year because its always special.
These are commitments of Habits which need discipline. Like not overeating or exercising ever day and so on. While the ost popular ones may be to lose weight, repay loans, save money etc, there might be something that is much more mportant for you. So you need to brain storm about your new year resolutions before you set them. Following are some of the best ways to do so.
1. Make sure that your resolutions are realistic. They must motivate you but at the same time must make sense to achieve it. Big goals are important but I suggest that keep your new year resolutions within reach
2. The resolutions must make you take action from the same ay. Do not set a resolution that will not allow you to ake action the same day
3. Announce it to others. Tell others about your new year resolution so that they also push you in turn! (Pssss: Don’t ask me mine ok!!
4. Reminders will help. Set automated reminders in your email box or mobiles so that it will tell you what to do. If it involves daily action then you set a pattern in your mind.
5. Believe that you will achieve them. When you set your esolutions write them down and visualize the same you will ure achieve them
6. Every new year resolution must have a reward. Once you accomplish within a time what will you gift yourself with. This will push your more for your resolution to be a success
7. Attract - Start attracting the results of your new year resolution and you will get it!
So based on that I have some new year resolutions for myself
1. Eat 3 times a day. (I normally eat only twice). This will make cut on the junk which I sometimes do. (Just realized that it keeps me less hungry, I eat much lesser and more balanced)
2. Reduce my Salt Intake
3. Spend more time on web 2.0 and web 3.0 for LifeofExcellence.com
4. Play little more cricket whenever possible. I miss this game too much.
5. Make notes from the books I read so that I dont have to get back to the book when I really need it. Or put tags in them for future reference
6. Write atleast 2 articles a month for LifeofExcellence
7. Launch the Videos by Feb. Atleast 1 month (this looks more like a Goal rather an a resolution)
8. Find a way to spend some time for Social Causes (feel bad sometimes I am not there for the OnlySuccess foundation events. Need to make them happen)
9. Borrow books from library rather than buying many and reading (don’t visit the library too often and they have whatever I want)
This is my short list of new year resolutions. I am sure you too have yours. So post yours as comments to this post!
Wishing you a great and Happy New Year!
I just thought I’ll share with you all what I posted for a contest entry in Litemind.com, for a Personal Excellence Project (Great concept and thanks to author Luciano). here it goes…
Tip:
Internal Conflict questions Passion
Details:
We have passion to do something and there are other forces that pull us away from Passion. Though we are passionate about doing it we are not sure the true purpose of things we do. For example I know many people who have wanted to write the best of personal development blogs (including myself). They have 2 reasons to blog for, one is to give help others achieve more and secondly to make money. Though the passion is to help others, because of wrong strategies people fail to make money. They are caught in a fix and thats when the internal conflict arises. Either to it for money or for the true purpose. When this confusion starts, though you begin to work hard, you don’t get what you want. Primarily because you are not attracting. You start feeling that are people thinking that I am doing this to make money. Then you start defending your actions, and this conflict also arises a lot of negative energy and you feel drained every time you think about it.
There are 2 things to this
1. Making money is not evil. You can do lot of things with money. Even Mother Theresa the most noblest person ever lived wanted money 2. There is not harm in doing things for money.
Other major conflicts people face are
Careers Vs Family
Money Vs Purpose
Health Vs Pleasure (Every time you eat that extra piece of Chocolate cake you feel guilty and that guilt makes things worse inside of your body)
Do feel free to list down more.
