What is Freedom? Is it being misused, is it being used, is it understood? I recall one of the best ever movies “Independence”, when the President also talks to the pilots before the attack. This is the actual transcript of the dialogue.

Good morning. In less than an hour, aircraft from here will join others from around the world. And you will be launching the largest aerial battle in this history of mankind.

Mankind — that word should have new meaning for all of us today. We can’t be consumed by our petty differences anymore. We will be united in our common interests. Perhaps its fate that today is the 4th of July, and you will once again be fighting for our freedom, not from tyranny, oppression, or persecution — but from annihilation. We’re fighting for our right to live, to exist. And should we win the day, the 4th of July will no longer be known as an American holiday, but as the day when the world declared in one voice:

“We will not go quietly into the night!

We will not vanish without a fight!

We are going to live on!

We are going to survive!”

Today we celebrate our Independence Day!

Is it something that we do in our lives too? Independence day is just not a day of celebration when we remember it as a holiday but truly we must live it. We got freedom but are we really Free? Are we able to appreciate the freedom? I doubt it most of the times. We are caught between doing many things that we don’t like. This is the same what the British did to us. We fought and won the battle. When it happens externally you fight, and why not internally? Today you do many things that you don’t like. Why people remember Independence day as a holiday because they crave for it. I don’t want a holiday because I just love what I am doing.

I love coming to work, I enjoy it. I am free, and I enjoy freedom, because I live with Passion. Are you FREE? Are you experiencing FREEDOM?
