I am not sure if this is really true. I just read this somewhere and I also made up a small calculation. There was a guy who went to his boss and asked for a day’s off from work and this is what the boss replied.
There are 365 days in one year and of which 52 weekends of 2 days, leaves us only 261 Days of work
And in this there are 16 hours we are away from work, that’s about 170 days and only 91 days are working days
With 30 minutes of coffee break and 1 hr of lunch in a day we have 69 days used up for this and leaves us with 22 days
5 days on some other leave so its 17 days and we have other days of holidays say about 5 0f them and leaves behind 12 days.
We go on a vacation for more than a week to 10 days. So thats 2 days.
So we end up working just 2 days and you take 1 day off and only 1 day you are working!! Ins’t this amazing? Your comments on this??

look at our day - we sleep 7 hours, eating and other bodily activities take 3 hours = we are now left with 14 effective hours which are utilisable. Which is 5110 hours a year…..
now my work hours - we work 290 days a year(including half saturdays)… We work 9-5 which is 9 hours. We take phone calls for atleast 2 hours a day, this totals to 3223 hours. my weekend phone calls of 2 hours would make it 104 hours, so total work hours 3327.
which means 65% of my effectively utilizable hours are spent working for the office….Only 35% of my life is for family, sports, health, personal realization, religion, God, Social Service, Community, and so on.
Numbers are beautiful,,,they work the way we want them to

Hi Praveen,
True..yesterday’s ‘Kill Procastination’ was Great. It was amazing. I am sure that All those who were present would have already started putting into action the MINI PLANS thay they derived yesterday. My wife and me felt this was one of the best programs we ever attended.
As we all know, WHOOSH Events are always great…..but yesterday was fantastic and I am sure that as many of the Born To Win members come back again and again for the Whoosh events like this, they are going to get more and more empowered and achieve success.NO DOUBTS ABOUT THAT…
We all realised through the various exercises we had what oppurtunities we have lost due to procastination. But it is better Late than NEVER.
I am sure that all those who were present will be wanting to be a part of that 5% people for whom success is a must and have already taken the first step towards this in killing procastination and march towards success.
Thanks to you for the wonderful session.
Life Will Never Be The SAME.

Hi Praveen,
“One Day off is it worth it?” is really funny and very optimistic. I have a feeling that I am relaxing and working only two days in a year. Thanks, Lalitha.
